Dr. G’s 3 Easy Health Tips! Well, actually 2 easy tips and one that will take some effort!

Dr. G’s 3 Easy Health Tips
Well, actually 2 easy tips and one that will take some effort!
I changed 3 simple life habits in 2017 and I feel so much stronger, healthier, and happier. Give them a try. You should notice a similar positive changes too.
 The First: Drink More Water!
Water promotes better circulation and provides better nutrition to your cells, a stronger immunity, balanced hormones, optimal digestion, and a stabilized nervous system.

I loved living off coffee, tea, and the occasional assorted flavored drinks. But guess what? I was hardly drinking any water.

One day I finally said: “Hey, why am I not drinking more water?” I recommend it to patients, so why not follow my own guidance!

I began drinking 1.5 – 2 liters of water per day and in no time I began noticing these changes: I was calm, collected and less anxious.

Make a sound goal to drink water throughout the day. It need not be tons of water but try to drink a glass every 1-2 hours.
Number Two: More Sleep!
I like to keep busy and have too many hobbies and projects.

I routinely stayed up late or woke early just to fit everything into the day. Despite a desire to enjoy my busy life, it slowly became a burden without joy. I was burnt out!

The funny thing, I enjoy sleeping. So as a treat to myself, I began adding a little more time on my sleep by going to bed a half hour earlier or sleeping in a little extra.

You know what? I feel so much better and really enjoying life.
My Not So Easy and Last Tip:
If you don’t like what you’re currently doing, change it! If you don’t have something to do, find one! Just start! […]

How Healthy is Your Digestion?

How Healthy is Your Digestion?
I see too many people using over-the-counter products to help aid their digestion:

“Nausea, Heart burn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea!”
Maybe you know this jingle?

These digestive products should be thought of though as a temporary fix and not a solution. These products should not be relied upon indefinitely to balance your digestion.

5 Reasons forAcupuncture

1.) Heal Injuries Quickly
Acupuncture stimulates the body to heal quickly and to speed up recovery. People who receive acupuncture during injury recovery tend to heal faster, more optimally, and without longstanding issues.
Acupuncture addresses injuries by reducing swelling and inflammation, by promotingoptimal blood-flow to the injured tissue so it can repair, and by lessening pain.

2.) Health Maintenance
Much like an oil change for your car, you need to routinely take care of your body above and beyond eating well, exercising, mindfulness and good sleep habits.
Your body will appreciate having maintenance acupuncture treatments. You may want to think about having an acupuncture treatment every 4-8 weeks for balance and energy.
Here is a great research article on the patient-provider relationship and how important this is for health promotion!
3.) Pain Relief
The pain medication epidemic is all over the news lately. New research is showingacupuncture to be better at relieving pain than opiods. The American Medical Association is also recommending acupuncture as a viable treatment for chronic pain.
Pain doesn’t always go away on its own. Acupunctureis a great therapy to help you with alleviating pain for good.
This article shows that acupuncture is now one of your best options for pain relief!
4.) Defense Against Colds & Flu Bugs
We all live in a sea of viruses, bacteria, molds, and other nasty things. Our immune system is always working and always fighting.
We don’t have to be afraid. We just need to have a healthy immune system. And when we do fall ill, we just need to get healthy again.
